Job Title:                        Splicing QA Assistant

Classification:        Non-Exempt, Hourly

Pay Range:                  $19 to $22

 

POSITION SUMMARY

This assistant will create notifications and maps for splice sheets, review all splice sheets for accuracy and correct errors as needed, as well as enter sheets and as-builts into tracking software.

 

REPORTS TO

  • Splicing Supervisor

SUPERVISES

  • May lead, train, or participate in work team assignments

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  1. Review database in order to create list of required customer notifications for splicing events, sending email notifications as directed.
  2. Create maps for splice sheets, reviewing for accuracy and correcting any issues.
  3. Enter information into company systems, including:
    • Splice sheets
    • Splice sheet as-builts
    • Completed flexible service terminal (FST) information
  4. Assist the Fiber Design team as needed, including:
    • Enter equipment from high-level designs into company systems
    • Create splice sheets from high-level designs.

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

  • Adept in verbal/written communication
  • Excellent detail orientation and organizational skills
  • Ability to maintain a professional demeanor
  • Ability to evaluate situations and adjust to changing priorities
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office software

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience with data entry
  • Candidate must be willing to reside near or commute to a Joink office (Currently within Illinois: Taylorville, Hillsboro; Indiana: Terre Haute)
  • Candidates which have the following will have priority:
    • Associates’ degree in related field

 

WORKING ENVIRONMENT

  • 40 hours per week
  • Office Environment
  • Willingness to travel to other Joink offices, industry conferences, etc.
