Job Title: Inventory Coordinator
Classification: Hourly, Non-Exempt

POSITION SUMMARY
We are looking for a detail-oriented and reliable Inventory Coordinator to support our fast-growing Fiber-to-the-Home (FTTH) Internet Service Provider during a period of major infrastructure expansion. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for managing and optimizing inventory operations across multiple warehouse and deployment sites, ensuring the accurate tracking, availability, and distribution of critical network materials and equipment.

The successful candidate will have a solid background in inventory control, stock management systems, and logistics coordination—ideally within the telecom, utilities, or construction sectors. You will collaborate closely with purchasing, logistics, and field operations teams to maintain stock accuracy, forecast material needs, and prevent project delays due to supply issues. This role demands strong organizational skills, hands-on experience with inventory software, and the ability to adapt quickly in a high-growth, fast-paced environment.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Receive, inspect, and document incoming shipments of fiber-related materials (e.g., cable, conduit, handholes, tools).
• Maintain accurate inventory records using ERP or inventory management systems.
• Organize warehouse space and stock for optimal efficiency and accessibility.
• Coordinate material transfers between warehouse and field crews or subcontractors.
• Perform regular cycle counts and reconcile discrepancies.
• Monitor stock levels and communicate restock needs to the purchasing team.
• Assist in preparing kits or material orders for field projects.
• Work closely with construction and operations teams to forecast material needs.
• Ensure compliance with safety and handling protocols in the warehouse.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
• Knowledge of inventory control principles, shipping and receiving processes, product lifecycle and store requirements.
• Basic accounting or purchasing knowledge is a requirement.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to communicate effectively and problem-solve independently.
• Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets.
• Ability to maintain a professional demeanor
• Ability to evaluate situations and adjust to changing priorities

QUALIFICATIONS
• 2+ years of experience in inventory, warehouse, or logistics coordination—ideally in telecom, utilities, or construction.
• Familiarity with materials used in fiber optic builds preferred.
• Experience using inventory management software or ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP).
• Ability to operate warehouse equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, forklifts).
• Comfortable working in both office and warehouse settings.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or certifications in logistics/supply chain a plus.
• Candidate must be willing to reside near or commute to a Joink office (Currently within Illinois: Taylorville, Hillsboro; Indiana: Terre Haute)

WORKING ENVIRONMENT
• Must be able to work overtime with and without notice.
