ABOUT THE COMPANY

Joink, LLC was founded as an Internet Service Provider, providing dial-up, DSL and fixed wireless broadband Internet services.  Today, the company provides connectivity for customers who span the landscape from residential to enterprise using technologies that include leased lines, unlicensed wireless, licensed wireless, and fiber optics.  Also, the company provides managed hosting services including virtual machine, web/email, and offsite backup storage.  And finally, the Company’s technology services group leverages its enterprise knowledge of networking, software, storage, and telephony technologies to provide design, installation, and continued supported around key technologies from companies such as VMware, Cisco UCS, IBM, Veeam and Microsoft.

POSITION SUMMARY
The position will receive calls from customers in serviceable areas, processing residential orders after a sale is completed. The individual will then coordinate outdoor construction, scheduling, locates, splicing, interior construction, activation, and overall happiness and satisfaction with install, communicating with the customer throughout this process. This team member should enjoy customer sales in an inbound sales setting.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  1. Receive calls from customers in a serviceable area, taking orders and scheduling customers.
  2. Maintain contact with customers to schedule FTTH installation dates and times.
  3. Verify that Joink’s systems are kept up to date with time entry.
  4. Follow up with customer after completion to confirm satisfaction and/or return work needed.
  5. Verify valid permits and locates prior to scheduling installations.
  6. Work with in-house team members to have knowledge of install requirements.
  7. Use computer system to plan, research, and execute the coordination of orders.
  8. Maintain calendars/spreadsheets with the appropriate schedule dates for necessary crews.
  9. Print and distribute calendars and printed plans as needed.
  10. Data entry as needed for Joink construction crews and/or contractor crews.
  11. Scan as-built drawings as returned from OSP crews.
  12. Coordinate residential orders from post-sale to post-activation.
  13. Call to coordinate scheduling of work.
  14. Notify any permitting authorities of the work planned (if required).
  15. Use 811 to request locates for orders.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

  • Ability to understand relative position of places, distances, and direction on a map or aerial image
  • Expertise in verbal/written communication
  • Organized and detail-oriented
  • Ability to provide and maintain detailed documentation
  • Ability to maintain a professional demeanor
  • Ability to evaluate situations and adjust to changing priorities
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office software

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Associate degree in related field/equivalent experience
  • 2 years’ experience in related field, specifically scheduling multiple team members
  • Candidate must be willing to reside near or commute to a Joink office (Currently within Illinois: Taylorville, Hillsboro; Indiana: Terre Haute)

WORKING ENVIRONMENT

  • 40 hours per week
  • Office Environment
  • Willingness to travel to other Joink offices, industry conferences, etc.
  • May be eligible for commission
