Job Title:   Marketing Specialist 

Classification:  Nonexempt Hourly

Pay Range: $23- $28 per hour

 

POSITION SUMMARY
Joink/CTI, a fast-growing provider of fiber optic internet, is seeking a collaborative and detail-oriented Marketing Specialist to support our existing marketing team. This position plays a key role in executing marketing campaigns and advancing community outreach initiatives. Ideal candidates are proactive, organized, and capable of supporting brand-building efforts across multiple channels and markets.

Whether you have a bachelor’s degree or hands-on experience in the field, this role offers the opportunity to directly contribute to the company’s growth and visibility.

REPORTS TO
• Brand and Communications Manager
SUPERVISES
• No direct reports
• May lead, train, and participate in work team assignments

Marketing Support & Execution
• Campaign Coordination: Assist the Marketing Team in planning and coordinating quarterly marketing campaigns to drive awareness and customer growth.
• Channel Implementation: Support the rollout of marketing content across digital (social media, email, website), print, radio, and TV platforms.
• Market Launches: Aid in the development and execution of go-to-market strategies for new service areas, including local market research and message alignment.
• Budget Tracking & Performance Analysis
Support the management of campaign budgets by monitoring expenditures and tracking return on investment (ROI) to ensure cost-effective execution. Assist in compiling post-campaign performance metrics and contributing to reporting efforts that inform and improve future campaign strategies.

Community Engagement
• Event Logistics: Coordinate logistics and materials for community events and local sponsorships aimed at educating residents on the value of fiber internet.
• Reputation Monitoring: Support brand sentiment tracking on social platforms and in local communities to help maintain a positive brand image.
• Stakeholder Interaction: Assist with relationship-building efforts with local officials, organizations, and neighborhood groups.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
• Familiarity with executing multi-channel marketing campaigns
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Strong written and verbal communication; comfortable representing the brand in community-facing roles
• Ability to maintain a professional demeanor
• Ability to evaluate situations and adjust to changing priorities
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office software

QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field — OR equivalent relevant experience
• 2+ years of marketing experience, ideally in broadband, telecom, or tech
• Working knowledge of marketing tools (e.g., Google Analytics, email platforms, CRM, social media schedulers)
• Candidate must be willing to reside near or commute to a Joink office (Currently within Illinois: Taylorville, Hillsboro; Indiana: Terre Haute)

WORKING ENVIRONMENT
• 40 hours per week
• Office Environment
• Willingness to travel to other Joink offices, industry conferences, etc.
